Breve CV

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in 2002 and completed my Ph.D. in Biology at the Universitat de les Illes Balears in 2011.

My doctoral thesis, titled "A Complex Network Approach to Phylogenetic Trees: From Genes to the Tree of Life," has led to several publications, including contributions to PloS ONE and BMC Evolutionary Biology.

Currently, I am actively contributing as a member of the SeCosta project, a citizen science initiative that fosters collaboration with educational institutions to collect oceanographic data along the Balearic coastline using low-cost Arduino-based technology.

Since January 2024, I have joined the COB as a member of the Department of Oceanography and Global Change within the framework of the SEAFRONT Project.
