Breve CV

Ana Bodí Broseta holds degrees in Marine Science (2019) and Biotechnology (2021) from the Universidad Católica de Valencia (UCV). She also earned a master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (2025) jointly awarded by the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and Universitat de Barcelona (UB).

During her academic training, she collaborated on various research projects at institutions such as the Centro de Investigación Científica y de Educación Superior de Ensenada (CICESE, Mexico) and the Instituto de Investigaciones Oceanológicas (IIO, Mexico), focusing on the isolation and characterization of metabolites with antitumor potential from marine animals.

Ana later joined the Instituto de Investigación de Medio Ambiente y Ciencia Marina (IMEDMAR-UCV, Spain), where she participated in projects including LIVING PORTS project and a Fundación Biodiversidad project.

In September 2022, she joined the Centro Oceanográfico de Illes Balears (COB) of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC), participating in microbiology and –omics-based research through projects such as MINERVA and GENEROSITY.

Since 2025, Ana has been part of the INOCEN (Inorganic Chemical Oceanography) research group, which comprises personnel from two IEO centers (Galicia and Balearic Islands), engaging in cross-center activities at the national level focusing on studying the impact of global change on ocean biogeochemical cycles, with particular emphasis on the inorganic components, such as the seawater CO2 system, dissolved oxygen, and dissolved inorganic nutrients in coastal and open-ocean environments. Within INOCEN, Ana is part of the EsMarEs3 project, supporting the monitoring and assessment of ocean acidification in the Spanish marine waters under the Marine Strategy Framework Directive.
