CV Summary

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Patras (2017) and a master’s degree in Ecology and Conservation from Uppsala University (2020). Since 2015 I have been involved in a variety of projects ranging from marine mammal to fisheries science.

I am currently a PhD candidate working in the Oceanographic Centre of the Balearic Islands (IEO-CSIC) as a predoctoral researcher funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. My PhD thesis is realized within COCOCHA project under the supervision of Manuel Hidalgo and Vincent Rossi. For my thesis, I am studying the cross-scale connectivity of a high-value species metapopulation system in the North-western Mediterranean Sea using an interdisciplinary approach in the context of better fisheries management and assessment.

I am also interested in science dissemination and public outreach. In an effort to make science approachable to non-scientific audiences I occasionally write in blogs in Greek and English.
