CV Summary

I´m a marine ecologist with a cross-disciplinary research profile including mainly ecological modeling, benthic ecology and fisheries oceanography, with particular focus on the spatio-temporal patterns of fisheries resources. My research line addresses the causes of spatial and temporal variability on species, populations and communities, with a special interest on those derived from Climate Change, and applies this knowledge into assessment, management and conservation plans.

During my career I worked on different ecosystems in the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans developing a wide range of statistical methods to understand their changes across space and time through extensive data analyses. Currently, I work in the EU Horizon project B-USEFUL; which aims to develop user-oriented solutions for monitoring and management of the biodiversity in the European seas.
