CV Summary

I started working on Physical Oceanography and its coupling with Marine Ecosystems when I joined the Balearic Oceanographic Centre of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (COB-IEO) in 2008.

My main interest is the study of the physics of the Deep Water of the Mediterranean Sea and its relation with the climate. I participate in the RADMED monitoring program that IEO maintains in the Spanish Mediterranean to respond to the Marine Strategy Framework Directive. RADMED includes two CIESM Hydrochanges moorings.

I participate in the IEO Mediterranean Group for Climatic Change (GMCC) and the IEO Observing System Group (IEOOS). I also participate in projects that aim to develop coordinated monitoring programs and assessment in Europe (e.g. PERSEUS, IRIS-SES, Action-MED, Action-MED, DIVERPEL) and also in several projects that focus on physics (e.g. IEOOS-Euler, SAGA, ATHAPOC) and its influence on the biology (e.g. TUNIBAL, ATLAS, CERES).
