CV Summary

Xavier Capó has a degree in Biology and in Biochemistry in the University of Balearic Islands. He developed its PhD thesis in oxidative and inflammatory biomarkers.

He has collaborated as a researcher in a total of 5 projects and he also owns a part of a national patent together with other NUCOX members. This patent has been extended to the European area.

During three academic years (2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020). He has taught lessons in the University of Balearics Islands, concretely in the Biology and Biochemistry degrees and in a master’s degree (Human Nutrition and Quality of Food Program). He started his researcher career in 2011 in the field of exercise and oxidative stress. At the present time he is focused in the study in pollution biomarkers in marine organisms. He has published a total of 54 original manuscripts in international journals and he has contributed to 5 book chapters. He has also presented a total of 33 communications in national and international congresses.

Nowadays is a beneficiary of Juan de la Cierva formación fellowship cofunded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation at the IMPACT@SEA research group tutored by Dr. Salud Deudero.
