CV Summary

I came here in 2018, after completing a MS in Oregon State University, where I investigated patterns and processes of fish dispersal and settlement in the northern California Current System. My PhD research focuses in predator-prey interactions of jellyfish and tropical tuna larvae on temperate tuna species such as the bluefin tuna. The rising temperature of the Mediterranean water favors the expansion of tuna larvae predators. My research aims to explore these changes in trophic interactions and use this information to refine stock-assessment tools under the forthcoming scenario of climate change.

My research is supervised by Drs. Patricia Reglero (IEO), Francisco Alemany (ICCAT) and Øyvind Fiksen (University of Bergen), and supported by a fellowship cofounded by the IEO, the Regional Government of the Balearic Islands and the European Social Fund 2014-2020.
