Research Interest

The focus of my research is to understand the effect of different stressors on the physiological and behavioral strategies of fish. The research is experimentally oriented and helps us improve ecological models to understand the individuals’ performance and the population dynamics; and improve their welfare and therefore their sustainable aquaculture.

I am particularly working with tuna species and cover aspects of:

-Growth and survival mechanisms of early life stages.
-Sustainable aquaculture
-Metabolism
-Behavior
-Nutrition

I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher awarded with a Margalida Comas postdoctoral fellowship financed from the Direcció General de Política Universitària i Recerca de la Conselleria de Fons Europeus, Universitat i Cultura, at the Oceanographic Center of the Balearic Islands (Palma, Spain) in the Group of Ecosystem Oceanography (GRECO) research group. I got my PhD at the University of the Balearic Islands in 2018, stayed as postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hamburg (Germany) and worked at the Infrastructure for controlling the reproduction of the bluefin tuna (IEO-ICRA).
